The Chase is the latest ITV Show that’s been given the bingo and slots treatment over at Gala Bingo. The popular quiz show, made more famous due to Bradley Walsh’s many laughing fits, follows in the footsteps of Coronation Street and Emmerdale. The Chase Slots isn’t the prettiest looking game but it is pretty good to play – it’s a 5 reel slot with 10 paylines and a special Chaser bonus round.

Our initial view of The Chase Slots was that it was a bit untidy. The symbols consist mainly of The Chasers off the programme – these include Dark Destroyer, The Vixen, The Beast, The Sinnerman and The Governess. These are joined by the usual Jacks, Aces, Kings and Queens. However it does create quite a claustrophobic looking game board. That said, the game does ratchet up a level when you hit the bonus round.

The Chase Slots bonus round is a two stage affair. First of all you’re offered three cash prizes to chase in the Head to Head. Once you’ve selected a prize you simply click the ‘Play’ button to determine whether you, The Chaser or both of you have answered a question correctly. As in the TV show your aim is to get ‘home’ before The Chaser catches you.
Get through the Head to Head and the next stage is The Final Chase where you can win big money. You have time on the clock and need the computer to land on ‘player’ when you ‘play’. If that happens your prize pot increases by the amount shown. If The Chaser wins the round then you lose time. The aim is to complete each of the 10 stages within the allocated time – your reward is double the money you’ve accumulated.
We enjoyed playing The Chase Slots although to be fair our view was boosted by picking up a win via the bonus round. There’s a Gamble Feature available which by default is off. Switch it on for chances to boost any winnings that come your way.
The Chase Slots is currently exclusive at Gala Bingo.
Play Gala Bingo
When Gala Spins first launched it was basically a slots extension of Gala Bingo. Players from the latter could login and play slots much in the same way that Tombola and Tombola Arcade are connected. However the site and brand have changed considerably over time and Gala Spins is now a brand in it’s own right. This means it no longer shares a wallet with it’s bingo namesake. Players visiting the site will have access to a wide range of popular slots, megaways, slingo and daily drop jackpots. There’s also a £20 welcome bonus plus bonus spins for new depositors.
Gala Spins Welcome Offer
Gala Bingo Daily Spine
New players joining Gala Spins will receive a £20 bonus plus 30 bonus spins when they register, deposit and spend £10. Wagering terms apply to both bonuses and these are x20 for the main bonus and x10 for any wins generated on the spins. Note that the spins are currently for The Goonies slot game. Other bonuses may get offered by Gala Spins but these do tend to be advertised in emails, so keep an eye on your inbox.
Gala Spins is owned by GVC and the website design is therefore very similar to the likes of Foxy Games and Cheeky Bingo. This means you’ll find a good selection of popular slots from top providers including Slingo, Net Entertainment, Playtech, Big Time Gaming, Eyecon Games and Scientific Gaming. Popular titles include Rainbow Riches, Noble Sky, Starburst, Big Banker, The Goonies, Genie Jackpots, Diamond Mine Megaways, Fishin Frenzy and Book Of Dead. Gala Spins also boasts over 30 Megaways slots plus 20 different Slingo titles.
Gala Spins Promotions
Joining the multitude of slots are a selection of scratchcards but you’ll not find live casino or table games here. This is a shame as we think live game shows such as Dream Catcher and Megaball all fit in with the ‘Spins’ brand. That said Gala Spins does have a series of Flash Pots that players can enjoy. These are must drop jackpots such as Thunder Bolt, which must drop before it reaches £100; Electric Dreams that must be won by 9pm on Friday; and High Voltage that must be won before it hits £1000. If these weren’t enough then there are hourly, daily and mega jackpot games and a series of progressives.
Gala Spins do have regular player promotions. For example at time of writing they were hosting a Halloween special titled ‘Month Of The Giving Dead’. This free game offers players the chance to win deposit offers, free spins on selected slots, cash and prize draw entries to win £5000 cash. Although it is free to play you do need to be a qualifying player. We expect that similar promotions will run at the site during other times. Other promotions include ‘Quests’ which give you the chance to win rewards for playing selected games and ‘Mission Possible’ which are a series of challenges that again result in player rewards.
The Spins Verdict
In our view Gala Spins has had quite a tough lifespan. It launched as an ‘add-on’ to Gala Bingo which did it a disservice. Now, after a number of revamps, it is a standalone brand and things have improved. GVC have improved the suite of slots and scratchcards on offer – including an excellent section for Megaways games – and we don’t mind too much that casino/live casino are not part of the mix. Game shows could be a welcome addition but are not a necessity. What makes Gala Spins standout from other similar sites are the promotions open to players. Flash Pots, Quests and Mission Impossible give new angles on slots and Slingo play.
